Restoration

Hope has been a buzzword that society flaunts. Proverbs spends much of the text describing hope, wisdom, and the order of this world. When hope perishes, it is because God was not at the center of it. The church describes that our hope is in Christ. No matter what comes our way, Christians are called to keep the faith in that coming restoration and redemption that only God can provide. Just when it feels like the world is too much, we ground our faith in this real hope of creation, people, places, God’s kingdom being expressed—because God is a promise keeper. Just as in the valley of dry bones in Ezekiel, where God raises up and restores what seemed impossible, we too live in this world full of hope in the only source who can provide.
