Children’s Stations of the Cross

Holy Week
Daily from Dawn to Dusk

Get ready for Easter by learning about Jesus’ journey to the Cross. You can come anytime from morning to evening and walk through the Stations of the Cross outside at St. Andrew. It’s a special way to remember what Jesus did for us.

Stations of the Cross

STATION 1 | Jesus Prays in Gethsemane

Reflection: Jesus prayed in the garden, feeling sad and worried, but He trusted God completely.

Activity: Place a hand on your heart. Imagine you are sitting quietly with Jesus in the garden. Can you hear the birds? Feel the breeze?

Prayer: “Dear Jesus, help us trust You when we feel scared or worried. Amen.”

STATION 2 | Jesus is Betrayed by Judas and Arrested

Reflection: One of Jesus’ friends made a hurtful choice, but Jesus still showed love.

Activity: Make a sad face. Talk about a time when you felt hurt. How can we show kindness even when others make mistakes?

Prayer: “Dear Jesus, help us to be good friends and show love, even when things are hard. Amen.”

STATION 3 | Jesus is Condemned by the Sanhedrin

Reflection: Some leaders did not understand Jesus’ message and made unfair choices.

Activity: Stand tall like a strong tree. Even when things feel unfair, we can be strong like Jesus.

Prayer: “Dear God, help us to be kind and brave, even when others don’t understand. Amen.”

STATION 4 | Jesus is Denied by Peter

Reflection: Peter, one of Jesus’ closest friends, was scared and said he didn’t know Jesus.

Activity: Show your “brave face.” Even when we make mistakes, Jesus still loves us.

Prayer: “Dear Jesus, help us to be honest and brave. Amen.”

STATION 5 | Jesus is Judged by Pilate

Reflection: Jesus was treated unfairly, but He stayed calm and trusted God.

Activity: Place a hand on your heart and make a heart shape with your fingers. Jesus’ love never stops.

Prayer: “Dear Jesus, help us to trust You and share love with others. Amen.”

STATION 6 | Jesus is Scourged and Crowned with Thorns

Reflection: People were unkind to Jesus, but He forgave them.

Activity: Pretend to give yourself a hug. Jesus’ love is always with us.

Prayer: “Dear Jesus, help us to forgive others and be kind. Amen.”

STATION 7 | Jesus Bears the Cross

Reflection: Jesus carried a heavy cross because He loves us.

Activity: Pretend to carry a heavy backpack. Even when things feel hard, Jesus helps us keep going.

Prayer: “Dear Jesus, help us to be strong and keep going, just like You. Amen.”

 

STATION 8 | Jesus is Helped by Simon the Cyrenian to Carry the Cross

Reflection: A kind man named Simon helped Jesus when He needed it.

Activity: Give a high-five to remind us we can help others, too.

Prayer: “Dear God, thank You for friends who help. Help us be good helpers, too. Amen.”

STATION 9 | Jesus Meets the Women of Jerusalem

Reflection: Jesus reminded the women to trust God, even when they were sad.

Activity: Wipe away an imaginary tear and give a gentle smile. Kindness helps others feel better.

Prayer: “Dear Jesus, help us bring hope to those who are sad. Amen.”

STATION 10 | Jesus is Crucified

Reflection: Even in pain, Jesus forgave those who hurt Him.

Activity: Place your hand on your heart and take a deep breath. Jesus’ love

Prayer: “Dear Jesus, help us to love and forgive like You. Amen.”

STATION 11 | Jesus Promises His Kingdom to the Good Thief

Reflection: Jesus showed kindness and gave hope to a man who had made mistakes.

Activity: Think of a time you were forgiven. How did it make you feel?

Prayer: “Dear Jesus, thank You for always forgiving us. Help us share Your love. Amen.

STATION 12 | Jesus Speaks to His Mother and the Disciple, John

Reflection: Even while suffering, Jesus cared for His mother and friends.

Activity: Imagine giving someone a big, warm hug. Jesus wants us to take care of one another.

Prayer: “Dear Jesus, help us love and care for our family and friends. Amen.”

STATION 13 | Jesus Dies on the Cross

Reflection: Jesus gave His life because of His great love for us.

Activity: Place your hand on your heart and take a deep breath. Jesus’ love never ends.

Prayer: “Dear Jesus, thank You for Your love. Help us always to remember You. Amen.”

STATION 14 | Jesus is Placed in the Tomb

Reflection: Jesus’ friends were sad, but they trusted that God had a plan.

Activity: Imagine rolling a big stone. Even in quiet moments, Jesus’ love is with us.

Prayer: “Dear Jesus, help us trust that Your love never goes away. Amen.”
