Volunteer Opportunities
Ready to get started?!
Email Emily Focht if you are interested in any of the following volunteer opportunities.
Sunday Morning Programming – during the 9:30 hour, come worship with students and lead them in small group discussions about the morning’s message. Content will be provided for you.
Pancakes – every 2nd Sunday, we make pancakes for the students. Come cook and serve with us from 9:00 – 11:30 a.m.! All materials are provided.
Donuts – every other Sunday, we provide donuts for the students. Pick up the preordered donuts from J’s (6405 W. Parker Rd).
Confirmation – for every Confirmation class, we have adults lead small group discussions for the students.
Sunday Morning Welcome – help us sign in our students each Sunday, as well as welcome all new attendees. Greet them and capture their info on Sundays from 9:00 – 9:45 a.m.
Lunch Bunch – each Wednesday during the school year, we serve students during off-campus lunch. Help cook and serve these students, many of whom are visiting St. Andrew for the first time.
Home Days – each Wednesday, we open the Students space and gyms from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. for any student to come, eat pizza, play in the gyms, and hang out. Come run around with the students and build relationships in an unstructured setting.
Life Groups – every student has the opportunity to meet with a small group of students divided by grade and gender and led by an adult each week to build community in a small group setting.
Special Events – several times throughout the year, there are a variety of stand-alone events ranging from Christmas parties to Worship Nights and everything in between. Help decorate, set up, feed the students, or clean up.
Trips and Retreats – every Students trip, from retreats to Mission Trip to Camp Impact, needs a large number of adult volunteers in a variety of capacities.
Leadership Councils
Student Leadership Council – This council will provide feedback, planning, and preparations for Student’s events. They are both a guiding group and an active planning group. These students provide insight into student perspectives as well as leadership in action through both service and outreach. Talk to Brian Colligan if you are interested.
Parent Leadership Council – This council will provide guidance and insight from an outside perspective. As liaisons between parents and staff, the council members help provide feedback on current and future plans. Additionally, they help student staff with access to relevant calendars and additional scheduling information.
